A report is left on Preceptor Hugo's desk and a copy is delivered to the commanders.

Soldiers present at parade, post-cannon incident:
Baron Octiovus von Richter
Shadwell, Baron's Adjutant
Leanne Melior
Elizabeth Martins
Cailin Keres
Hoagie
Tingleith
Eben Rochair

Ecclesiarchy present:
Pellandris de Trevashal, Squire
Danaeyl, Initiate
Hugo, Templar Preceptor
Ulrich Malberg, Templar

Civilians present:
Carolin Argon
Crowley Graves

With the Baron and his adjutant in attendance, the original turnout for the parade was excellent, with many soldiers present. One might wonder if their love for parades and lack of zeal hampers their effort in combating the vile Vesperian vermin. Surely with such numbers, the war wouldst be over by next mass. However, it quickly became clear that they had been truly lax in their duties and there would be no promotions, with the officers only answered with snark from the churls in attendance. If this is due to low morale, I dost suggest daily mass services or lashings until morale improves.

The original turnout.

However, the Baron wished to field test his new ship and its cannons. Regrettably, Sergeant Kelly Sanderson ended up semi-naked and suffering the oggling of the other guards due to burn injuries related to the firing of said cannon. This led to a sharp decline in guard presence.

The parade ended with training, with some good and sound tactical instruction from Cailin Keres; strike down the wytch first, everything else is secondary. There were other, less important details, but he did communicate the basics in a most satisfactory manner.

Gratefully, Danaeyl, Ulrich Malberg, and thyself graced the later combat training with thy presence, surely improving morale and focussing the inattentive guards' minds. I believe our presence truly was an inspiring sight for the guards.

Squire Pellandris,

The Preceptor hath passed on thy report to me to provide some commentary. Thy report is reasonably detailed and enthusiasm is noted.

However, whilst thou hath shown Valour well in a few significant ways in a short time frame thy report displays a concerning lack of Humility. It is natural for all men to display an unbalanced affinity for certain virtues prior to rigorous spiritual training, but I raise this with thee now as an initial observation. It is most ordinary for Templi in training to face their own subjective tribulations with respect to certain virtues, and I am concerned that thy strong foot forward may be impacting thy measurement in judgment.

While we as an Order may communicate our wisdom where warranted with the army, it is certainly not for thee to do so to their commanders (nor indeed is it mine, but the Preceptor). Moreover though they doth at times stray from the Light, it is both pragmatically and ideologically desirable that our bonds strengthen, rather than fray, especially during times of war.

Do not take this as a disciplinary note, but in the spirit it is intended: an educational one.

Thy efforts are noted. Continue to walk in the Light.
