*Erik walks down the Barracks stairs when dusk is already setting in and finds recruits Seamus and Ramsus Kaine milling about outside*

Hup, hup! Don't wait for nightfall or they'll be just as likely to jump you in the darkness!
*Erik leaves a note to muster the other recruits and makes his way to the gate himself*
Ah! Good lads! Build it high and strong! I want it sturdy enough to withstand a hurricane!
*More and more guardsmen arrive and help out with the construction*

* The evening went along nice and calm and a large amount of recruits, guardsmen and even sergeant Hrothgar dropped by to hold the gate when all of a sudden a horseman rode up to the gates*

*The yewsman mumbles something but does hand over his weapon*

*The hours pass slowly and there's some idle chit-chat at the post. Newly promoted Junio Joey Lanai even tried to amuse us with some jokes*
*Dawn is breaking and Erik notices some of the guardsmen are beginning to nod off*
