Nothing, shillings are a made up currency. If you look at the Citizen Jobs, you'll see amount payed for each Job. Then I, the admin peon will log you the job. Once you reach the certain amount for the rank rank (shown in the new rank citizen rank section on the tome) you'll get promoted.
