Penned by Scribe Anne on behalf of Serf Danichta of CoveHaving overheard another serf speaking of fishing for the Barony, Danichta decided she could put her own fishing knowledge to use and partake of the nearby waves herself. However, the fish were none too pleased to bequeth their flesh to her poorly baited hook.
Deciding that perhaps the spot was of ill luck, Danichta moved down the way.
Her deductions were accurate and upon many hours spent over the fishing rod her Pa had made her some years ago, she was able to collect a large sack brim full of many large and Prized Fish.
However....... fortune was not, as it appeared to be, smiling on Danichta this day. For shortly after this last portrait was drawn, Danichta had moved onto another spot northeast some from the Barracks which were then attacked! Foul smelling henchman of the netherworld rampaged through Cove. A pale man of magic was able to warn Danichta and have her run away....
But alas, the poor serf was much too slow for the likes of the Underworld minions, and her hiding place far insufficient. They sniffed her out with some cloth bolts piled ontop of her in the City Hall and were able to easily overcome her poor strength and spirit her away to their foul dungeon.
After being beaten, Danichta was taken to a far away road where the vile minions began performing a ritual of some sort, Avatar save us, that Danichta was sure would be the end of her life.
But fortune did, in the end, smile upon the poor Serf. For several heroes came out of the woods and continued attacks upon the infidel creatures until they gave up their plot and released Danichta into the wilderness. The fisherwoman ran pell-mell through the forests narrowly avoiding death at the hands of ogres and worse.
It wasn't until she arrived safe and sound back in Cove when she realized...... her bag of fish was gone! Along with half of her tools and precious few belongings... Though sorry for her loss, Danichta was glad that she had her life at least, and that fish could always be recaught afterall.
