Hunt to Covetous:Guardsmen in attendance:- Tiberius, Senior Guardsman

The hour was late as we arrived at the barracks. Tiberius was to be holding a hunt, with location decided by number of hunters as usual. He decided to go to Covetous, and to slay the loathsome floating eyeballs that lived there. We assembled outside the barracks and was told to move towards the cave entrance and wait there for all to arrive before proceeding inside the cave.
When the men had gotten combat ready, Tiberius ordered us inside recruit Vince Redfield provided us with light. We had to dodge fiery traps (only the avatar knows where the fire came from) on our way inside and where greeted by wicked birdwomen when we had passed the traps.
The relentless assault of the covians...The birdwomen were slaughtered like pigs and the victorious guardsmen proceeded even deeper down in the dungeon.
Tiberius leaps to action...Deeper and deeper down the cave we moved, slaying more of the birdwomen and also several headless zombies were dispatched! The guardsmen, in the confused fighting in the caves fell victim to several traps involving spikes and blades and also poisonous fumes. Before we could assault the lair of the gazers, we had to pass by a series of narrow passages, covered with enormous patches of spider's webs. And the foe showed itself to be spiders as large as horses! We finally managed to find a way out of these demonic web-filled passages and we entered a huge cave with a small lake in the middle of it...Tiberius called out
"FORM" As the gazers caught sight of us. Spells rained and many men were badly wounded, especially Tiberius was hard presses. But in the end, Cove steel had proved it's worth and the beasts lay slain at our feet.
The Elder Gazer lie dead at Tiberius's feet!Satisfied, Tiberius ordered us outside again and we encountered only light resistance on our way out, the monsters were probably hiding in their deepest pits, shaking with fear! As we lined up outside the barracks, the loot was distributed and each man was awarded with 4000 gold each for their valiant effort.
