Assignment: Clean the LatrineGiven by: Junior ThomI was informed by Junior Guardsman, and Covian Mage Thom that the barracks' latrines were in desperate need of cleaning. After finding a shovel in the store rooms I set to work. Apparently he hadn't been kidding... also apparently Covian militia members have really bad aim.
It took a good bit of time to re-cover the old latrine with fresh earth. I also took the liberty of sprinkling campin flowers in the pit whilst covering it to help with the residual smell. Finally getting the foul pit covered quickly did wonders for the air quality.
There is now a freshly dug latrine behind the barracks, a little larger than the former pit in hopes that more... mess... finds it's way into the pit rather than just around it. A few new flower bushes should give some added privacy, and help keep the stench down.
