  • Recruit "Short-stuff" Snudrud

Mithars mauling, a test for even the hardiest of Covian Guardsman! The turn out was not as expected, it seems that many Recruits and Watchmen have had wind of what the training involves and choose to hide in their various nooks and crannies [Personal Note: Perhaps rename the training when advertising it for a better recruit turn out, Mithars Menage et trois perhaps will entice them but may give them the wrong idea]. Instead the attendance was distinctly made up of Veteran Guardsmen, no doubt trying to prove to themselves and each other that they have what it takes.

The Turnout

The training was quick and intensive, each Guardsmen having to run between exercises to the next station. It began with a run to the northern point where 20 press-ups were done with freezing water being splashed on them. Following this it was to the wall, where the Guardsmen had to scrabble to the top of the barrels, balance themselves and then perform a number of commands [Personal Note: The greenskin was suprisingly agile, perhaps a use there is for him. Sergeant Valentine proved that his place is on the ground, with his feet firmly planted, although with that balance i wonder how he stands upright at all]

The Wall Of Death

Onto the swimming! Some Guardsmen couldn't swim, got others to drag them though however so luckily no casualties. Some of the encouragement worked a treat. Finally the training company reached their end destination on the walls of Cove its self. A short piggy-back run was completed well by Regular Kurt and Senior Raidien but, unsurprisingly, less well by the goblin.

The Water Gauntlet And Piggy-Back Run

The Baron himself even arrived at the end to commend the event. It was an training of Mitharical proportions!
