Born in Britainnia in the city of Serpents Hold.  His father was killed in a terrible sailing accident to a Leviathon, and his mother moved away when he was only young.  Maximus was raised under the watchful eye of his ruthless teacher Cort, and his two brother Veiko and Charon.

Maximus never understood why his elder brother Charon moved away to the facet of malas, he only heard from his brother Veiko that he had gone to become a Necromancer.  Therefore Maximus and Veiko developed a strong bond and spent their teenage years in Serpents Hold training to become ruthless warriors.

One day Maximus woke up to find his brother Veiko had left during the night, and spent the rest of the day asking townsfolk if they had seen him.  Maximus was told by the harbor master that Veiko had taken the longboat during the night and fled the city.

Maximus set off in hot pursuit folowing only his heart and travelled for many years in search of his lost brother.

One day Maximus came across a small bay behind a mountain and was shocked to find a small town nestled behind it.  He came about in his boat and settled his boat at the small wooden docks.  The town was fortified by a large wooden battlement, meaning the town could only be seiged by the sea.  Past the battlements Maximus could see a large stone fort with brown and yellow banners fluttering slowly fluttering in the cool sea breeze.  He decided that was the place he should visit.

Upon arrival at the fort he discovered it was a barracks for the local town of Cove.  There were guards sentried about the entrance whom told Maximus they had taken his brother in 3 years previous.  Maximus was overjoyed to hear this and tried to run into the building. He was eagerly stopped by the seemingly bored guards and they told him Veiko was on scouting duties near the borders of Cove.

Maximus waited around for a few hours and Veiko soon returned, he was wearing a smart chainmail uniform and a brown bandana.  Veiko told Maximus it would be wise for him to join the Barony of Cove and gain his fortune.  Maximus joined that very day, earning his Badge.

To this day Maximus serves the town of Cove with his Brother Veiko and eagerly awaits the day he gets promoted to watchman.
