Guardsmen that attended; Tiolas, Kas Valentine, Ryan Greystone.

Report:

"This afternoon guardsmen Tiolas and Kas set out to secure a fortification around a nearby outpost. The outpost lay to the north of Cove just off the path a little as you leave Vesper forests. The two guardsmen made they way through the forest, Kas guiding a horse burdened with packs behind him. The journey to the outpost was uneventful and upon reaching it the two guardsmen soon discovered that it had long since been abandoned. So at once they set to work on building a fortification, loading their crates off the horse and constructing them into a frim wall with hammer and nail.

Soon enough the fortification was complete, the walls stood firm and the gates were watched under the keen eyes of the guardsmen. But it was early in the day and the people of the realm had not yet risen for trade. So while Tiolas tended the fortifaction guardsman Kas patrolled the outskirts of their camp looking out for any signs of trouble. Upon completing a full patrol guardsman Kas returned to camp and reproted the all clear to Tiolas. The guardsmen then settled down to marshal the outpost but soon enough they were distrubed by a large noise at the southern gate.

Suddenly two large men broke through the gate laughing and grinning."What are you doing here!?" asked Tiolas, but the men just laughed and the one wearing a big red hat threw a fish at the guardsman. The strangers continued to laugh and cause trouble, kicking over chairs and table within the fortification which severely angered the guardsman and eventually drove them to battle with the two strangers. Guardsman Kas fell quickly under the combined blows of the strangers and was soon knocked unconcious. Guardsman Tiolas was swift and agile and chased the invading strangers to and fro, but after a furious battle he was beaten to the floor.

The strangers tied the hands of Tiolas and Kas together and began leading them back toward Vesper forests, occasionally chuckling; "We'll sell'em as manlovers!". The guardsman could nay tell where they were led but the strangers took them roughly to the town of Buccaneers Den and holed themselves up in the bank there. Despite shouts from the guardsmen no-one would come to ther aid so they were forced to bow to the will of their captors. Inside the guardsmen were beaten until they would allow themselves to be stripped, dressed and hooded by their captors.

As day broke the stranger in the big red hat departed and left the tending of his prisoners to the other darker dressed man. The stranger tightened the bonds that kept the guardsmens hands together and led them to Trinsic. By this time the guardsmen were exhausted and at their wits end, they had no idea where they were going and allowed themselves to be led by the man. When the stranger attempted to sell them as slaves to a local woman of Trinsic they cried out and local guards were alerted.

The guards of Trinsic took everyone to the local jailhouse; Tiolas, Kas, the stranger and the local lady. While the Trinsic guard alerted his superiors the stranger, Tiolas and Kas made a break for freedom. Tiolas managed to find safety and hide, but the stranger and Kas were caught and returned to the jail for questioning. Kas and the stranger were seperated and questioned, Kas explained the kidnapping and the involvement of the lady from Trinsic. Both the lady and the stranger were then imprisoned and guardsman Kas was free to go.

As he made his way through Trinsic, a trifle confused about what had been happening, he stumbled into the hiding Tiolas and a plan was hatched to find the harbor. While Tiolas remained in his hiding place (which was in the park in central Trinsic) Kas asked around and was directed to the docks by one of the locals. Returning to his superior the two then headed for the harbour as fast as they could. Tiolas managed to steal a vessel once they arrived and the two guardsmen swiftly got onboard. However the tillerman would not take word from either men, and by the time they had convinced him to cast out to sea arrows were already being fired upon the vessel by their former captor.

Once at sea the tillerman gave up his command of the vessel and left it to the whim of the wind. The boat sailed vast circles through the waves, tossing its passengers to and fro, how long they sailed the guardsmen do not know. They past land once but the wind changed direction and took them out to sea again at the last minute. During the journey Tiolas found some dirty robes in the hold and the guardsmen quickly tugged them on, glad to be fully clothed once more. For hours more they sailed the vast oceans until again they saw land but their approach would not slow and they were forced to jump to the shore. The boat splintered and capsized on nearby rocks and the men lay panting and wet on the sand, completely exhausted.

Once they had caught their breath and roused themselves the two guardsmen crept into the unfamiliar land and discovered a series of huts seemingly deserted. They reasoned that people were no-where to be seen because of the late hour and agreed to sleep in the huts until day broke. Once the morning came they followed the dirt path into a nearby town but though they had water and food enough to sustain them they could not communicate with the locals. Clothes were stolen from local vendors to replace their shabby robes and the men sat in a nearby tavern to try and clear their thoughts and think of some way to get out of the town and back to Cove.

"Per'aps we should sit in the square where the traders pass through sir, perhaps one of them will bargin for passage back to  Cove...?" offered Kas, "Grand idea recruit, lets get ourselves over there." replied Tiolas and the two guardsmen set off. The men waited in the square for quite some time and only glimpsed a single merchant as he cast an enchantment and departed from the area. In an attempt to repeat their escape from Trinsic Tiolas suggested they visit the harbour of the unfamiliar town. They trudged over, glumly eyeing the empty docks and grumbling. All of a sudden a vessel came cruising to a halt right beside them, it was Ryan Greystone ! "Har har ye having a spot of trouble lads...?"

Almost collapsing with relief the marooned guardsmen tottered over the extended plank and a course was plotted back to Magicina, the closest town with a public moongate and the most direct route back to Cove. Ryans ship was brought into dock and the three men journeyed back to Cove via the public moongates without trouble. Once back at the barracks Tiolas and Kas retreated to their beds for a very very well earned rest."
