Leader: Gabriel Drachen, Watchman

Attendants: Kerri, Watchman
                  Dimman, Guardsman Recruit
                  Marcus, Watchman
                  Darrav Ulcrus, Guardsman Recruit
Erik Arkay, Senior Guardsman (there at the very end)

Arriving at the barracks for the nightshift Watchman Gabriel Drachen called a line up as he was going to lead us somewhere for a hunt! Lining up Gabriel did the usual speech and told us that we would be traveling to Despise much to my despair because I have an issue with recalling. Raising my hand I pleaded with Gabe that I could make a headstart, since everyone else would be recalling and off I ran towards the moongate.

On the way to the moongate I encountered a few obstacles but using my kryss I soon took down any ogre or troll which dared cross my path! I didn't spot anything else unusual or potentially dangerous. As I approached the moongate I stepped through to Britian where I was
hit by thick and warm air. I had no time to waste and I began running North-west from the moongate towards the valley before despise.

I encountered only one harpy lady on my journey which I took down with great ease. After I took the time to carefully skin her and the feathers were of course given to the Scouts. I continued my journey to get to despise. I knew by then the others would have already arrived and would be waiting for me, so I pushed myself to run faster. As I reached the rocky valley a sense of relief pulled over me as I was almost there. I ran on, until I finally reached the cave mouth were the others were lined up and waiting for me. After being moaned at a bit by Dimman and Gabriel for refusing to recall we finally stepped into the musty and cold dungeon. Clambering down a flight of stairs the ground began to shake as we were charged by three or four two headed fiends (ettins, of course). We swiftly took them down and continued our winding journey through the cave. We were met with much resistance, but I guess they didn't hear - we're the Covian army!

Padding down another load of stairs we came to a third level, it seemed pretty empty but of course looks can be deceiving and we remained vigilant. The first enemy on the third floor we encountered was a grumpy and down right dozy troll who charged us squealing a high pitched warcry. The ground lightly shook as he approached us and all it took was a slash from Marcus' axe and an arrow to the neck.

We carried on moving now, dodging passed sleeping and feasting trolls and we soon entered the ogres lair. Many ogres stomped around noisy and fought over scraps of food but we weren't bothered with them, we wanted the big ones so we continued on. Gabriel raised his hand suddenly and stopped us at the end of the bridge, he told us that he would lure one of the big ogres too us, because more than one was risky! Slipping into the shadows he moved unseen. We stood at the end of the bridge waiting the faint sound of steel clashing with steel sounding through the cave until suddenly Gabriel lunged himself across the bridge at us.

'Theres two!' he yelled and we split up. I focused on the less injured one, cutting at the ogres giant arteries spots as often as I could. When finally both ogre lords were near death we charged one after the other sending them onto the dirty floor. The thuds of the body's dropping echoing throughout the cave and we briefly cheered. Regaining our selfs Gabriel lured another one too us, but we quickly disposed of this one.

It was by now time to leave and oddly Erik Arkay joined us for the line up inside the Cave! Gabe sent everyone off to force march home themselves and I had to find someone who was kind enough to send me a gate to Cove. Hell was I running that distance again. When I arrived at the barracks finally I dropped down my gold and we counted around roughly 9000 gold overall.

*Walks by and reads the report*

A fine report Watchman Kerri, Yer doing a grand job and there is nothing wrong with fearing the Magical ways of travel, I had an old friend by the name of Ryan Greyston that did not like the magical travels as well. So don't knock yer self about it.

Further more keep up the good work.
