* Takeamada sits down and pens a note to the Captain about his banner setting mission that took place on 05/06/07 *

Dear Captain;

I when I first started setting recruitment banners for the army, I thought it was need but mainly uneventful except for the occasional run in with an ogre or troll.  Well that was until yesterday!!!

It started with arrival at the barracks to fine that our recruitment supply were drastically low, so I went about making the needed items as to re-supply our bag.  With this done I set out placing banners at the usual spots.  I went to Moonglow and set one at the main gate and one near the void, then I thought there are great fighters within the void I should place one there too, that way we would possible get a good fighter or two to join our ranks.  As I first entered the dark gate I found myself on the other side.  It seemed peaceful and quiet.  So I went about setting the banner.  As I was finishing the placement two men in yellow, one of which was mounted upon a great green beast came running towards the gate in great haste.  Well hot on their tail was this massive beast of red and black, giving off heat from its body and smelling of sulfur.  It was attacking these poor men in yellow.  They fire arrows at it with little or no effect.  So in true Coven style I stood my ground and supported their efforts to slay the big red beast.  I stayed close to give healing when needed and showed them the proper use of a crossbow.  It should be noted that these beasts’ hides are tuff; it took 49 crossbow bolts to drop him.  After slaying the monster, the men in yellow gated out without so must as a thank you!!!  Oh well.  I check the body for anything useful, nothing of note except for a bit over 2500 in gold which I shall turn in to fill our coffers.

After this action, I went back to my duty of setting banners.  While in Trinsic at the moongate, I came across a small young girl; a bit dirty from the pit she was digging.  I asked her what she was doing?  She told me that it was a Zombie trap!!  I smiled and went about setting the banner.  As I did this the Captain of the Trinsic Guard arrived and started questioning the young girl.  She was not getting much from her other than her mother worked at Swaggers and she was from Vesper!!  A long way from home for such a young girl.  Then the captain asks me if I knew who had dug the pit?  Being a paladin and honorable member of the Coven Army, I could not lie.  I pointed to the girl and told the captain what the little girl told me.  I then went though the gate to New haven to set banners there.  While in the town square I was approached by a nice lady who was distraught.  She knew what work I was doing and asks me a few general questions.  I could tell from her speech that she was from Vesper or around that area.  I asked her, by any chance are you looking for a little girl?  She said “yes”, with a hopeful look in her face! I gave a description of the girl that I saw in Trinsic.  It seems that it was the little girl she was looking for, her daughter.  I informed her that she was in Trinsic.  She was shocked at that news!!  I guess being that far from home in Vesper.  I told her I would take her to her.  She was glad for my help.  We took the gate back to Trinsic only to fine her and the Captain Dawn gone.  The lady, Rebecca was her name, started to get upset.  I told her not to worry, she was with the captain of the guard, and they probably went to the jail to sort things out.  So I escorted her to the jail were she was reunited with her little girl.

Because of all this I was unable to set all the banners I had hoped to, so I returned to the barracks and placed the supplies I had made in the bag for others to use and retired for the day.  I’m sorry I did not set the number of banners that I should have, but sometime its not always about setting banners.
