After an earlier meeting with the Captain and Baron of Vesper, Grenadier Captain Morana accepted that the attack on the Covian barracks Sunday eve was committed by the Guardsman Militia dressed as Vesperians in a bid to incite hostilities between Vesper and Cove.
This would of course be advantageous to the tyranical Yewlanders as the battle Vesper for control of the resource rich region of Minoc. Raiden agreed that to start a war on two fronts was not in the best interests of Vesper who were struggling to hold their own in Minoc anyway and that the Guardsman Militia must have been behind the attack.
Of course such an act could not go unchecked so Covian high command decided to aid Vesper in the Minoc conflict. If anyone is going to have a say over the control of Minoc it's Cove!
Joint Covian and Vesperian forces rallied at the Covian barracks before heading to Minoc. Northern Minoc was patrolled by Covian forces while southern Minoc was patrolled by the Vesperians with the forces regrouping below Mount Kendall.
There was not a Yewlander in sight and the town was secured for the night at least. Perhaps Waywatchers had seen the massed ranks of Cove and Vesper approach... Who knows? What is for sure is that the flag of freedom flies over Minoc once more this eve.
