Watchman Trials: Takeamada [COMPLETED]

"That one, eh? Trials already? We'll see, we'll see..."

*Sergeant Sanderson sat down at her desk, eyeing the note in front of her concerning Takeamada's need for his trials. She cleared herself some space quickly and began to put pen to paper, chuckling after every full stop she imprinted on the paper.*

Task One - Roll On, Recruitment!

Recruiting has been centralised to particular destinations, as of late: New Haven, Britain and various dungeons. For this task, you must lead the guardsmen to one of these locations. Whilst there, you must hold a considerably large recruitment stall. The banners that you use for this task must be your own, hand-made versions. This stall should stay standing and in use for at least thirty minutes.

Requirements:

• At least three other guardsmen must attend your recruitment stall.
• The recruitment stall must be held either outside a dungeon of your choice, Britain Bank or New Haven
• All banners used in this stall must be ones that you have produced, that advertise the Covian Army and possibly, in addition, the Citizenry.

Task Two - The Horror Of Hunting

Under observation, it appears that your main weakness within the army is that of giving orders to your fellow guardsmen whilst leading a patrol or hunt. Therefore, your task is to lead a hunt to the Tokuno Islands and slay the largest beast you can possibly find. During this hunt, you must give orders that are appropriate to the guardsmen, in order to keep them safe.

Requirements:

• At least four guardsmen must be in attendance of this hunt. One officer must be present amongst the attendees.
• Research and planning must be carried out beforehand into where you shall go to slay which beast. This, however, is left up to you.
• At least 15,000 gold coins must be acquired by you and your men on this hunt.
• Evidence of your commands must be given from sketches when writing your report.

Task Three - Covering Cove

Keeping the perimeter and contents of Cove protected is the main priority of the Baronship. To earn the Covian Cap, you must be able to honour and respect that main priority. A sentry must be held in and around Cove, keeping all villains and vermin outside the perimeter. The central point of this sentry shall be Cove's main gates.

Requirements:

• You must pre-plan places you feel need the most protection, and also a means of protection for the perimeter of the Baronship's premises.
• At least four guardsmen must be present at this sentry.
• Food and drink shall be required to aid the attending guardsmen throughout the duration fo their duty. Please note: Guardsmen may NOT be under the influence of alcohol whilst on-duty.

  Final Requirement: A full, detailed report - written by YOU - of each task must be attached below.

Report:

I formed the line at 21:00 and conducted a briefing of what we were going to do.  Recruit for Cove.  I had five very able bodies to perform this task.  We set out for New Heaven


Upon arrival I explained what we were to do and the awards that were to come.  Sgt Sanderson was to man the recruiting desk in case we had one to swear in; also she was a wealth of knowledge when it came to fielding questions.  Watchman Ludwik Bloodaxe wasted no time finding the first potential recruit, a young male.  He was turned over to Sgt Sanderson for review.  Shortly afterwards I brought a female up for review.  During our time in New Heaven, our recruiting team left no stone unturned.  They went as far south as the moongate, as far north as the Magi training center, and as Far East as Old Heaven.  They did not waver attempting to complete this mission.

 



When all was said and done we had no new personnel to add to the Covian population or Army.  Watchman did earn 500 hundred gold for his getting the potential recruit to the table, good job!  Both potential candidates washed out do to substandard mental reasons.  We shall keep placing banners and attempting to bring more into the fold.

Report:

I formed the line at 21:00; just as we formed up we were attacked by a Nightmare from one of those ungodly spawns.  After the assembly dispatched it we reformed and I conducted a briefing of what we were going to do.

We then forced marched to the Minoc Moongate.

We went though to Tokuno Isamu-Jima, where we reformed.  It was kind of nice to be back home.  

I gave the command to move out and up the road, was not long before seeing our first sign of possible ninja activity.  I think the air and the tension might have made Watchman Delferium ill, not looking so good was dismissed and we continued.

Are first action was an Acid spitting Kappa, a cross between a man and giant turtle.  The command to attack was given.  Next we FORMED to defeat a Giant Black Widow and other giant spiders.


Then we arrived at a Tsuki Wolf Camp, and were meet with force.  We attacked and then formed to meet their numbers.  The men did a good job of cross healing.  During a break in the attack I ordered a force march back to the gate.  I did a quick body count of the wolfs, we had dropped 23 of the nasty beasts.


We returned home with 30,000 in gold, I gave each member 2,000 for the outstanding work, leaving 20,000 for the coffers.  For my first command I could not be any prouder of our troops.

Report:

In preparation for this sentry, Sergeant Sanderson instructions were clear!  Plan and make it Grand!!!  So a few days prior to the execution of this event, I went in search of support.  I spoke with crafters to ensure I had enough materials on hand to make this work.  I had the efforts of three of Cove’s outstanding crafters.  I then went looking for person that could support the feeding of the troops.  My first choice was Axiana, but I was unable to find her.  As I was checking out the new hospital, I came across a nice lady of the name Dalla.  She informed me that she would be more then happy to cater the event.

On the day of the event, I arrived early, and started setting up some of the security walls.  As members of the army arrived, they jumped in and help with some of the prep work.

At 21:00 hours I called the formation to attention, and started the briefing of what was to take place.  As I was doing so, I saw Regular Guardsman Sendrich drinking, which was a violation of the posted order and army code to drink on duty.  Captain Morana stepped in and called him on it.  We reestablished the line and was about to continue when, I saw him do it again.  I ordered Sergeant Hoagie to escort him to the cell, not so much for the drink or defying me, but more so the willful disobedience of the Captain who had just talked to him.


With that under control, I set the tasks of building the main Sentry at the Main Gate.  My orders were; Scouts collect hides, Regular Army perform the construction, and the Grenadier’s provide Security.  The Scouts were quick and on the mark with the hides that were needed, the Army had the walls up in record time, and because of the Grenadier’s there was no incidents.

Towards the end I set out the outstanding food, along with a Grand Cake for the troops and drinks of water and milk.  I must say Dalla was the key to this event and I thank her for her support.

We rotated troops to from guard duty to ensure everyone was feed, I took the captain on a walking inspection of the area, showing him all that the troops had did and my reasoning behind them.  Upon my our return to the main gate, I formed up the unit and thanked them for a Grand job done, told them they were dismissed and that there was an open bar at the pub.  After their departed, I waited until it was clear, and dismantled the sentry and put it away.
