Raiden,

As you were on an errand during last night's catastrophe, I must enlighten you immediately of the happenings. Yewians arrived at our door for a second time in the evening, angrier than they were the first time around, and also considerably more bold. Bladius Dart, Captain of the Yew Militia, stood and bellowed that we had massacred a total of ten adults, one child and two babies. We asked for evidence, and they threw a blooded Covian Coloured kilt at us, as well as a forged note, concluding: "Long live the Baronship of Cove".

We were all alarmed by then, and Hoagie was recieving more than verbal abuse from Dart. We knew they meant business, and they genuinely looked horrified at what had occurred. After a lot more confused argumentative talk, Hoagie and I were taken into the arms of Yew and onto a boat. We were then taken all the way to Yew. What we saw when we got there, however, completely lost sight of the mark of our prior expectations.

We were dragged into the Yew mill. It was drenched in blood from ceiling to floorboards, and there were pieces of flesh everywhere. The smell was indescribable. This was the remnants of the scene. As you well know, Cove is not capable of these dealings: Even if we are their enemies. Due to the framing that took place a while ago with Hoagie and Senior Tel'var, Hoagie could only water it down to one person: A man called Kiran, who resides in Vesper. We have refused their drug deals several times, but this cannot be a reason for them to go to such extreme measures, surely?

Kiran is now under arrest, as he turned up, masked, shortly after we had stated his name. This seemed a large coincidence, but Kiran claims he works for the Guardsmen Militia.

This aside, my suspicions have also been turned towards the recent kidnappings in Cove. First Citizen Farfar, who was in the hands of people unknown. Me and Hoagie attempted to retrieve him, but only got to speak to an extremely shady character, who would not give us a fair deal. These bandits seem to mean secrecy. There must be a strong motive for this behaviour. The second was the child who was kidnapped a day or two ago.

We need to act on this matter, Captain. If we do not, it could be Covian lives on the line instead of the rightful celmates.

Having established co-operation between the Eastern & Western Chapters, the Militia Captain and Western Friar escort Father Siegfried to inspect the scene.

Bodies were reported torn in half, many having had their spines removed. The flour mills are plastered in blood which is dripping onto the floor below; the torn arm of a shirt dangles, blood-stained, out of the side of the mill.
