*A letter left on the commander's desk at the Grenadier Hall*

Dear Commander;
While I was napping, recovering from my wounds within my home! Two men in chain, bearing shields and maces, wearing no uniform marking I could see entered my home in Altmere! Mister Tiberus was working within the home greeted them in his normal warm and friendly manner, asking what they wanted? They claimed to be from the “Ministry of Justice” and wanted to know where Kas Valentine was and if he had seen him! Tiberus stated honestly that he knew Kas and the last time he had seen him was two days before at the Cove Market, next to the barracks! They then told Tiberus that they would search the home! He said he could not allow that, and he could get the owner, (me), to speak with them! They asked who the owner was? He told them Regular Grenadier Takeamada! Then they accused Tiberus of being a thief! He explained that he was a crafter in my employment. It should be noted my cousin Kiko was a witness to this. Tiberus asked them politely to wait while he went up stairs to wake me! After telling what had happen, I used a rope and repelled using my mountain climbing skills and came in behind them!
I had my bow in hand, with what had happen over the last few days with Kiko’s kidnapping, the mass in Yew, the incident with Father and the fact that since the peace treaty with Yew gave them access to this area of Altmere and being so close to other less then friendly folks, I thought it be best to be ready!
They asked me if I knew Kas, I stated that I did. They said they were searching locations they thought he might be known to be at! They informed me that they would be searching my home! I told them No! I was a Grenadier for the Baron of Cove and I would not allow it! I told them I had not seen Kas in a few days and that he was not here! This seem to upset them a bit, stating that I was not the Baron! Which I agreed, and also reminded them nor were they! They told me the Magistrate would hear about this! My reply was, “Please give the Magistrate my warmest regards” and to please leave my home! Which they did! I watched from the window as they left! What I found funny was that they did leave! They did not bother to search the Altmere Market next door, which Kas spends a lot of time at, nor the five other Covian homes next to mine! At no time did they offer names, nor show any symbols or proof of who they were or worked for!
So after this incursion I had Tiberus change the locks on the front doors, and told Kiko and Tiberus to look out the window before allowing anyone in the home! Also I feel there is something more dark taking place here!
If they were more respectful of my home and the uniform, I would have happily granted access to my home to true members justice! But a mace and shield do not qualify! I will protect myself, my family and friends, my home and property, Cove and above all the Baron! With this said, I shall start daily patrols, one man if need be, of the Altmere area. I have not neglected the Grenadier Tasks you have asked me to perform, it’s just with the guardsmen spread so thin, and all that has happen locally and the kidnapping of Kiko. I had to set my priorities. They will be done, its just a matter of time, I hope you understand sir!
