Attended by:

Raiden, Commander.
Mercy, Company Arcanist.
Perrin, Mercenary.
Spud Goodsoup, Commoner.

Joined later by:

Celuvian Haap, Mercenary Recruit.
Torrak Keres, Company Skirmisher.
Delcarakdur, Veteran One handed and One Eyed Elf.

Tonight's ball in Trinsic offered an opportunity to re-establish some links with the Duchy as well as perhaps gathering a little more information on the Drow responsible for Kyte's torture. As I made my way to the barracks I called into Spud's establishment to purchase a ball gown for Railen. I knew she was working and could not attend but I couldn't resist the opportunity to treat her.

At the barracks I was greeted by a somewhat forlorn looking Mercy. Kas too it seemed had a prior engagement and would not be making the journey to Trinsic so I offered to escort Mercy to the ball. It would keep us both out of trouble and free from unwelcome advances so she agreed. We were soon joined by Perrin and Spud and with a flourish of her fingers Mercy transported us to Trinsic.

The ball seemed reasonably well attended and I was able to introduce Mercy to Gwen from the Trinsic Rose, Duke Irvyn and Commander Hawke whilst making conversation also. Irvyn agreed to grant me an audience in the Rose on Friday eve over a meal so that we could discuss Cove and Trinsic's position. An invite he also extended to Mercy.

The Yewlanders however were their usual charmless selves insulting Mercy, though she's a sharp 'un and gave Walker as good as she got and staying my hand in the process. As we sat and chatted over a drink I couldn't help but notice a Drow in attendance. Her glace falling on us once or twice. I excused myself and headed over to the Drow who looked little older than a girl to make enquiries about Vierna and her whereabouts.

Hoh! The Drow was only Vierna's sister! I told her in no uncertain terms that the actions of her sibling and her followers would be met with swift retribution by The Company. She seemed to take offence at that and uttered some unholy oath, the vile stench of her necromancy on my skin. I would have knocked her on her arse but she looked little more than a child. I had got my message across. Vierna and her followers were dead Drow.

My mood darkened I didn't stay much longer at the ball and wasn't much company for Mercy I'm afraid while I did. However I was around long enough to see Spud win the prize for best dressed male and to grab a few words with Delcarakdur who had made a surprise appearnce in Trinsic on his wanderings.

Come Friday I would glean the location of Vierna's hideout from the Trinsicans and also reaffirm our trade alliance with the Duchy.

It was a great honor for I, Spud Goodsoup to win the prize of King of The Ball! It shows that the Forge and Loom offers only the finest of garments.
