The memorial square has been how it is fer sometime now, and I've not seen a gardener take care of the plants or sweep the yard recently. Whether 'es just getting lazy or not it needs t'be done! We can't have t'first sight for most visitors bein' a untidy square.

~Clean the yard thoroughly
~Ensure all the plants are trimmed and watered well.
~This may be done or alone or in a group.
~Post a full report on the IC Board.

This may be completed by Guardsman Recruits only.
This may be completed once per month per character.

Memorial Square Community Service

In helping myself understand more about Cove and to pay my own respects as a newcomer, I've gone up to the Memorial Square to perform the Community Service duty.  I got the tools ready, namely: a rake, a scythe, a rug and a pail of water.  Miss Freckletip was up that time and gave me a good idea on what I should work on.

With the scythe, I tried to clear off the weeds among other unsightly growths.  Some grass had trimming work.

I gave the fountain, the benches, the stone ground and the fountain a good scrubbing.

Then raked off some fallen leaves, scattered roots and watered the plants.

And reported to Miss Freckletip at the end of the day, and pleased to have a satisfactory comment from the good lady.   Hope Sir Raven finds the work similarly favorable.

*Written in small delicate script*

To Whom it May Concern,

I undertook the task today of cleaning up Memorial Square.  It seems to be a well loved, and well taken care of place. as there was nothing in need of dire need of repair or overhaul.  I did however do some needed maintenance.

The various things done were as follows;

-The wiping down and dusting of tables and benches and stools.
-The removal of decaying apples underneath the apple tree.
-The straightening up of various tools.
-The watering of all flowers.
-Adding fresh water to the vase of purple roses.
-Removing leaves from the fishing net.
-Raking up stray leaves and their removal.
-Refueling the lamp with oil.

In the end Memorial Square was left in immaculate condition.  There is my artistic rendition attached to this report.

It seems it was a month since the last thorough cleaning of the Memorial Square gardens. For this reason, I took it upon myself to set out to cleaning it. I began my work with the fountain. It was full of grime where mud and water had spilt over the sides. I soon sorted this out with a wet brush and some elbow grease.

Next was the task of watering the plants. Only problem was this was the sudden urge to urinate each time I watered one. I suppressed myself, however. I didn't know one garden could need so many plants. They were rather wilted due to the season, naturally, but I tried my best nonetheless.

I then tidied all excess clutter from the workshop area, and cleaned all the benches so they are now actually fit to be sat on. My last chore was to sweep the garden's gravel. This took me the longest time due to the large surface area.
