To Command;"As Requested by Senior Guardsman Mela E. Arkay"This evening a disturbed Edward Stryker owner of The Green Goblin entered his establishment very disturbed. He began making threats to burn down the tavern to cleanse it of the evils within it. He then proceeded to get involved in a verbal dispute with The Town's Bailiff Kiran. After accusing Kiran of being a thief and making some very outrageous claims towards our own Baron, Kiran punched Edward across the face in defense. Upon this The Guardsman present, Juniors Keane Wakefield and Me'an Silen proceeded to arrest Kiran for Assault on Edward. I stepped in and tried to gain control of the matter to only be told to stop by the two present Juniors. They shackled Kiran and nearly dragged him off, Thankfully The Arrival of Senior Mela Arkay halted their arrest.
After this we brought Edward to The barracks and questioned him on the events. We discovered that The man was clearly overcome with Anger and proceeded to speak complete lies about The Captain's daughter. After some questioning and removing a cheeky Junior we were able to verify that the scuffle was caused by Edward insulting the Baron and The Bailiff and Kiran defending the honor of both. Edward also claimed that Kiran approached him a week before attempting to recruit him into his "Brotherhood". But Sadly after all the other outrageous claims the Tavern Owner had made I felt it best to pass this information off as untrue and not worth investigating as it does not pertain to the matter.
We have put Edward under Surveilance for his threat of wanting to burn down The Goblin. We felt it uneccesary to detain him in a cell over it as it seemed he was just acting out of anger. It is in my opinion the one thing that was learned out of this is that newer guardsman need a refresher course on how to deal with incidents within Cove. Shackling Kiran, The Bailiff of Cove and a member of the Baron's household for a single punch that was provoked was in no way the proper response. I did my best to handle the matter alongside Mela and I think we have cleared it up for now, Though I strongly reccomend a watchful eye kept on Edward just incase.
