Once the parade had finished yesterday evening, our beloved Steward Torrak Keres decided it was best if we tried to bolster the ranks with some new recruits. You see, earlier on in the evening there had been much talk of how awesome the Arcanist division has become, how they are without parallel and should immediately be promoted (I think that was what we discussed at any rate, it
might have been something about Arcanist numbers being too high). So, on the basis of the prior conversation, we set out to find new blood.
We found civilian traffic to be relatively light in New Haven, but sung the praises of the Baronship nevertheless. One or two passersby stopped and talked shop with the available guardsmen, but alas none worthy enough to enlist.
In the end we packed up our materials and returned home to the barracks.
However, the search did not end there. A small, but incredibly elite, unit of Covian heroes decided it was worth travelling to far off lands in the off chance potential recruits could be found there. This unit consisted of Hoagie, 'Keres, Jarrett and Valentine. Far and wide did it travel, entertaining locals, telling tales of greatness and generally waving the flag of Cove. Unfortunately only a few were wooed by our words and in the end we retired unsuccessful.
Not to worry, word of Cove will soon spread and bring glory to the Baronship !
