If you guessed shadow ore, you are correct! Shadow ore provides most of our armor for the warrior types and as well as our weapons.. I took the finest of the army into the orc fort to slay brutes and gather the ore off them, they stood no chance. Really, the orcs STOOD NO CHANCE, no guardsmen were injured during this event. They breed like cockroaches however which means the orcs will be back, they got a pounding of their lives though.
5 orc brutes were killed and a total of 125 ore was gathered. The hard part wasn't the orcs or slaying the brutes. The difficult part was getting it back to the barracks, which we used a packhorse. 16,000 gold was gathered and donated to the coffers, 2,500 each per guardsman.
