Description: Ilyana is small, fragile-looking lass with a constant tired look on her face. Even though she is constantly hungry and eating a lot, she does not gain any weight. Ilyana is actually a very shy person, but she because of her small height and stature, she has grown the habit of shouting at other people, which often let her seem very stubborn and arrogant. However, those she calls friends, which are mainly other arcanists, she'll defend and love until her last breath and shows deep affection towards those. Ilyana's strength come not from physical power, but from her cunning intellect.
History: Born in Vesper, she lost her parents during an assault on the city at a young age. Confused and alone, she stumbled in shock through the wilderness until she somehow arrived in Heartwood, the town of the elves. There is where she learned the basics of the arcane energy that flowed inside her veins. At the age of twenty, she left to learn more about the practical use of magic, and her way led her to Cove, where she joined the ranks as a recruit.
Under the guidance of her mentor Bersi, she climbed the ranks with an unnatural haste and in less than a year she became Arcanist Corporal. During that time, she endured a miscarriage because of Yewish assault on her, fought down Altmerian rioters, took part in the battles of Jhelom and against a coalition of undead and orcs, and eventually married Lucas Drachen.
After loosing her mentor to blackrock, she decided to never touch it, even though it'd boost her powers immensely. During a plague in Yew, the army commanders refused to send aid, which led to the destruction of Yew and Altmere, with doom slowly coming for Cove. She became Commander of the army and protected Cove as good as she could. But in the end, she was unable to save all her friends. Many people she was close with found a grizzling end, and at the end of her days, she fought the inevitable, until she got drawn to a strange portal.
Stepping through, she saw familiar faces, which she haven't seen for years... And her journey in Cove, began a new...
As was almost expected by her, she got herself in trouble with the Church of Cove and Yew, where she was almost executed for her disrespectful acting towards their members, as well as the accusation of heresy. Only thanks to Hoagies intervention is where she got saved from the pyre. To end her torment, she swallowed her pride and "repent" to the church, staying as far as possible from Hugo.
Eventually while fighting the Undead plague that had befallen the northern lands, she joined forces with a Squire of the church named Danareyl. Her Will to stop that threat greatly overcame the fear of the church.
Up to this day, Ilyana remains one of the mightiest mages of all realms, on par with her close friend Celuvian Haap.
