Report: Hunt to Fire Temple and Ilshenar

Hunt to the Fire Temple and an Elemental cave in Ilshenar, 3rd October

After gathering at the barracks, the assembled Guardsman were quickly Gated near to that pit of evil, the Fire Temple.  Brave and true, the Guardsmen attacked this abomination, fighting dragons, drakes and daemons.  A couple of Guardsmen were overcome however, and it took time for us to recover. 

But recover we did and were bolstered by two reinforcements.  Renewed and heartened, we stormed the temple again and this time drove the hellspawn deep into the temple.  Eventually reaching the pagan alter, finding a holy ankh in the midst of a blasphemous pentagram of blood, we made our stand and put the hellspawn to the sword.

Waist deep in daemon corpses, Cadet Lanai led the victorious squad out of the temple.  And we found out the hunt had only just began.  Sadly my paintings of this great victory were burnt by a daemon, along with my shield. 

We made our way to the Humility Shrine in Ilshenar.



We marched over land through the swamps until we reached a cave.  It was whilst within here that Guardswoman Feather joined us.  In this cave we fought many elementals including air, earth poison and even acid. 



We even encountered a strange black horse that breathed fire at us and proved a dangerous foe.  After dispatching it we had to fend off many of it's herd. 



After killing these black horses and some more elementals we retreated outside and marched back to the Humilty gate and returned to Cove.
