The Cove Militia are whiling away an afternoon by engaging in some friendly sparing.
Sergeant Valiro challenges Officer Eason to a dual............
...and seems confident of victory. An idea Gregor rejects.
The competition becomes so intense the ground itself bursts into flame!
But, in the end, despite encouragement from the sidelines..............
.......Officer Eason is bettered by Valiro.
Dragoon Corporal Lanai steps up to challenge the winner.
But has his moment of victory disrupted by the Lady Jessica's cries for help.
Apparently she has been attacked by a mysterious crossbowman. Her concerns are not taken as seriously as she would wish at first.
But, eventually, the Militia escort her to her home and conduct a thorough search.........
..........and construct a sentry post to ward off further attacks. There is some speculation as to the identity of the assailant. A Vesperian?
Everyone settles down for a long watch......
....and as the day wears on the motivation for long patrols diminishes......
.....to the point where a walk around the house is deemed sufficient by some......
but not necessarily by others.
