Amon sits and reads over scrolls containing news from afar. Looking for ways to make some quick coin, for trading opportunities and for news from Maginica from where he had to leave quite unexpectadly.

But it was not exciting reading, not as exciting as his first day in the Baronship of Cove.

*Amon pens his journal*

I ventured outside of Raiden's place (I have lodged with the scallywag for some time and he seems to be making quite a name for himslef as a warrior - come a long way since I first came across him dressed in rags, a sword for hire in Brittain) where I came across a young Guardsman who needed some fine furniture for a dinner party he was arranging. Jack, yes Jack I think was his name.

Well fine crafted furniture is but one of my fortes and I was happy to help the lad out. You never know when a favour may be needed in return eh? Always good to have "friends" to call on in times of crisis.

As I set about my work I encountered a ravishingly handsome young girl. A Vesperian I suspect from her garb. You get to know the local dress when you spend time trading in various towns what?

She expressed a desire to perhaps commission me for some work. Now I don't think Vesperians are used to such finely crafted goods as Covians but I said that i would be at her service none the less.

No sooner had I got back to my work crafting fine tables and benches than i was interrupted by yet another woman, another looker too eh?

Not lost the old charm Amon!

Jennifer was her name. A scout in the now professional Covian army. I explained that for some time I have been trying to track down a member of the Baronships upper echelons so that I may sign up to become a citizen.

I know, I know that a distinguished gentleman such as myself would have to lower myself to a more... shall we say menial stature but the cream always rises and it is nice to have a whole army protecting you. Brings back memories eh?

Well Jennifer was very helpful and soon I had a meeting with an Officer Cadet of the Baron's Own Grenadiers no less. Vince Valentine, I had heard his name before from when Raiden served in the Grenadiers and I felt happy discussing my joining the Baronship with such an esteemed officer.

He signed me up quick sharp. And I returned to finish the Watchman's furniture...

*Amon rests his pen and walked over to the table poured himslef a drink, swirled it in the goblet, took a swig and promptly spat it back out*

Raiden and his damn liquor! Tastes like it was brewed in Trinsican whorehouse!

*Amon searched out a new bottle*

Ahhh Vesperian Red. That's more like it.

To be continued...
