Having defeated the assault force stationed in Wrong, it was clear we had to keep hitting the Jukans to make them see the Ophidian war hadn't decimated our forces. The next stage was the city of Mistas. After the losses suffered in Wrong, the Jukan Warlord dispatched much of the Mistas garrison to Wrong, with a second contingent believed to be stationed there before also being transferred to Wrong. The plan was simple: Attack Mistas and take the enemy by surprise.
We journeyed to Ilshenar and visited the Meer village of Lakeshire to ensure the Juka hadn't overrun their old enemy. But the Meerish defenders appeared strong and numerous so we headed west to Mistas, facing a lot of enemies along the way. As we neared the end of the canyon we encounted a Chaos Dragoon, scouting the passage. He was soon dealt with.
We then entered the city and started systematically killing all enemies living there.
To our surprise the city appeared sparsely defended. A company of Chaos Dragoons had been stationed there but they were dealt with. I had expected heavy resistance but found it light and scattered. After inflicting significant losses on the garrison, such as it was, we retreated.
It is my belief that after dispatching the bulk of the Mistas Garrison to re-fortify Wrong, fresh troops were not sent to Mistas. The army we hoped to destroy there was either dispatched straight to Wrong or is still in the Jukan heartlands. But it wasn't a total loss, the Jukans will be forced to send fresh troops to Mistas to replace those we killed.
The next stage in the Campaign will be to secure our flanks in preparation for the assault on the Fortress.
