After this eve's promotions parade Sergeant Hoagie gathered Dell and I for a mission. He led us off to the shrine of
Chaos Humility in Ilshenar. We thought it was a mission to sweep and clear the swamps there of various nasties but Hoagie let slip the real reason...
Err... Right ye are Sarge... *shifty eyes*Not long after we arrived there the night fell upon our brave band, as well as deadites and swamp monsters!
Ha! Take that!Soon we were knee deep in the stinking corpses but we made our way on towards some sort of stockade where all manner of foes took shelter... Naturally we stood firm and fought them off in their droves.
Some of Cove's finest warriors driving back the hordes!We fought long through the night until the break of day. Hoagie called for us to retreat as it was coming light but we we're ambushed by a giant dollop of slime!
Dell burst forward and dived into the vile swine's mouth!
Hoh! Bitten off more than ye can chew swampie!The beast gave out a horrendous scream before it exploded in a shower of slime and blood... Dell covered from head to toe in the gunge.
That's the spirit Dell!
We rallied back at Cove where Hoagie dished up the loot and dismissed us.
Ilshenar safe for another night!
