Attended by:

Raiden, Grenadier Corporal (leading)
Vince, Grenadier Sergeant
Demarian, Senior Grenadier
Gimbly, Regular Grenadier
Eve, Junior Guardsman (aspiring Grenadier)

I took the Grenadiers to the Covian fields to work on formations and tactics. As everyone is well aware we are at war and in the latest defence of our homeland I was pleased to see that not a Grenadier had a scratch from the Yewlanders attack. But we must not get complacent.

We can't get complacent!

I drilled the men and Eve on the box formation, shieldfighters to the front and archers to the rear. Although there was only 4 of them in the box we made do the best we could with Vince raising a few eyebrows with his enormous weapon.

*raises a brow*

I went on to explain that healing at the first scratch and teamwork are of upmost importance in this formation as of course we are protecting the Baron himself on the battlefield and I also covered certain tactics to use including the best suited special moves.

Practice makes perfect.

I attacked the formation and although i couldn't knock anyone over at times the tactics I had explained werent fully put into practice but we worked on it and finished off with a free for all in which I lead by example by practicing the tactics I had preached and one after one I felled Eve, Gimbly and finally Demarian to prove to any doubters that these tactics work.

Putting theory into practice.

Having got hot, sweaty and muddy I then dismissed the men to relax a while in the baths that had been constructed in the town.
