Notes: This and my other work "Exoskeleton" are about the same person, "Exoskeleton" being about the friendship that was lost, well this Tribute is dedicated to her and is inspired by "Alkaline Trio's: Dead End Road" The end of this one has abit of a twist... and it reflects a true feeling I've always had.

I met you long ago,
Fiery red hair like a forest fire.
Bright white skin like polished bones.
Dark black circles round your eyes.
Eyes empty; devoid of life.
Two cold mirrors looking back.
Smile so warm It'd burn your face off.

You were a cold beauty then as you are now!
And your lifes been hell,
But Hell ain't so bad when you've lived there all your life!

Running in circles round the cul d'sac.
Getting no were and fading fast.
This cities lame and dull just like those eyes.
You want to escape, tried too many times.
death wasn't your friend.
He just wouldn't have you.
And there is no God in Hell;
Even worse,
No Lucifer to make a deal.

You were a cold beauty then as you are now!
And your lifes been hell,
But Hell ain't so bad when you've lived there all your life!

Now the sky is blood red and orange.
The sun sinks below the trees.
Pale moon rises, stars come out to play.
Sobbing and weeping in your bed.
you pray for death, you cut your arms.
Blood stains your sheets, tears your cheeks
Parents tell you to "just get over it"
And friends they say "She wants attention"
Well I happen to know, just what its like.
Sitting on the curb; I watch as you go about in circles.
Admiring everything about you.

You were a cold beauty then as you are now!
And your lifes been hell,
But Hell ain't so bad when you've lived there all your life!

You opened up like a book to me,
And it all came forth like a raging river.
But nothing I might say could dull that pain
I watched you cry and bleed your life away.
Yearned to kiss away the tears and the blood.
To hold you in my arms to feel your sobbing stop.
To cease, for quiet, for peace.

You were a cold beauty then as you are now!
And your lifes been hell,
But Hell ain't so bad when you've lived there all your life!

I get up off this curb; you found yourself a man.
He took away the pain, he kissed away the blood and the tears.
And now the fascination fades like your pain.
I turn away but its okay.

You were a cold beauty then as you are now!
And your lifes been hell,
But Hell ain't so bad when you've lived there all your life!

But Hell ain't so bad when you've lived there all your life!
But Hell ain't so bad when you've lived there all your life!

Ain't so bad; Cause you can smile;
Know that shes happy now, thankful for the man she found.......

I liked it, it has one of those endings where it could be happy or sad.
I've always liked the more tragic works. Nice work man Smiley
