Grenadiers attending:

Vince Valentine, Grenadier Sergeant (Leading)
Raiden Morana , Grenadier Corporal
Gimbly, Regular Grenadier
Demerian Tel'var, Senior Grenadier
Eve, Junior Grenadier

The mission was simple. Infiltrate, and examine the mysterious tunnels hidden deep within the mountain paths of the ilshnear deserts and eliminate any threat. Simple in theory, but none of us Grenadiers knew what lay in wait for us...

The trip began well, with a long march through the woods surrounding compassion. Once we had navigated the rat infested forest, we arrived at a bride that we had to cross. Hearing the groans and moans of the undead from the building next to this bridge, we tiptoed past, lest we caught their attentions. We had a job to do after all, and we didn't want to be sidetracked by the likes of them!

We managed to get past with the least of fuss, though we were followed by one foolish skeletal warrior, who was soon put to rest. We finished him quickly, and dumped him into the waters below us. They might be fine warriors, but they're rubbish at floating.

Silly bugger has about three seconds to live...

Onwards we went, through harsh desert. Luckily night fell not long after we had entered the sandy dunes, which made our march alot more bearable. As we approached the mountain paths, we were joined by our very own Senior Grenadier, Dem! Our party one stronger, we headed within the tunnels....

Aside from a few more skeletal inbreds, it was quiet. Too quiet....
We marched deeper within, ready for any threat that readed it's head.
After a few skirmishes with some stray old men skilled in the art of necromancy, we heard strange noises coming from a room just to our north. Upon checking the room, we discovered the noises belonged to a troup of foul beasts! An elder gazer, a poison elemental, and a lord of liches attacked us in unison, a frightful group indeed!

Oh dear lord!

Instinct and Grenadier training kicked in, and we formed up and began to take them down as a Grenadier should! During this struggle, one or two of us did take a knock, but were up again in no time. You can't keep a grenadier down for long, no siree!

A fierce battle later, and we were victorious! Senior Grenadier Dem did manage to lose his kilt, which only he could do in all fairness, but we soon had it back! Harr!
But it wasn't over....
A lich lord of great strength, who had dowsed himself in a golden liquid of some sort came from the darkness, uttering spells at a frightening speed!

Another elderly wrongdoer takes a beating!

Pinning him into a corner of the vile place, we attacked at full force until there was nothing to hear but his dying gasps. Of course, after such a battle, we celebrated like only Grenadier can...

That's the way Grenadiers!

Our final task inside was a golden hued elder gazer, which we took down with relative ease, even with it's poisionous ally fighting beside it.

All in all, another evening of swagger, discipline, brotherhood, danger, laughs and swagger! Outstanding work Grenadiers, finest of the fine indeed, finest of the fine.

Tropey collected: Ashes of an golden lich lord

Har! Well done indeed!

The pot of that golden lich lord's ashes looks fine on the table at the Grenadier HQ.

A fine trophy indeed!

Very well led Sarge and well done Grenadiers!

Good going on obtaining those Ashes.
But it seems the REAL victory was the recovery of Senior Grenadier Tel'var's kilt! Gwahahahah!!

Good show, good show.
