The Company Championship

The Covian Militia and then latterly the Covian Army had the Armsmaster Tournament to test the skills of it's soldiers in a competition where only one warrior could leave the arena victorious.

The militia and army are no more but the Company has risen from their ashes and the Company Championship continues on in the spirit of the Armsmaster Tournament to find out who will be crowned Company Champion.

What is the Company Championship Tournament?

Its a chance to prove your worth among the people of Cove, each man or woman is given a suit of armour and a weapon of their choice to compete in the biggest tournament of the year.

When is the Company Championship Tournament held?

The Tournament will take place on a Sunday of every month.

How does it work?

Each participant will be given a suit of armour and weapon and their names entered and then they will be drawn out of a hat on the day and pitted against eachother in armed combat and the winner advances into the next round, only one will be victorious.

Who can take part?

Anyone in Cove can take part in the Tournament, thats right, not just the Guards. Unfortunately no magelings can take part due to the restrictions on the use of words of power and prayer.

Wow ! so what do i win?

You win the respect of your fellow Covians and your name will be noted down and added to the Archive of Champions, where people will be able to see the winners and losers for each Tournament.

Rules:
 - No Arcane usage of any kind (Magery, Chivalry, Necromancy or Spirit Speak)
 - No Bushido or Ninjitsu
 - No Potions, Petals or Fruit of any kind (Including smokebombs)
 - No Hiding
 - Only the weapons you are issued may be used in the Tournament.
 - Only the Armour given may be used in the Tournament
 - Only 10 bandages per bout.

If any of the above rules are broken, you will be imediately ejected from the tournament.

Mace Fighting

Two Handed - War Hammer
One Handed - Maul

Fencing

Two Handed - Spear
One Handed - Kryss

Swordsmanship

Two Handed - Halberd
One Handed - Broadsword

Axers - Double Axe

Archery

Composite Bow (Must supply your own Arrows)
Repeating Crossbow (Must supply your own Bolts)
