I've just read the recruitment thread about the Twilight Legion. I never knew this even existed and it sounds like good fun. Will we be getting any dedicated forums to the division?

Is it just orcs and undead or can other evil chars join? In fantasy there were always underlings such as orcs, skeletons etc but they were usually lead by an evil wizard or intelligent being?

The Ancient One
Ancient Ones are the highest rank of Undead and the prophetic voice of Guardian. They channel His will through the Well. The word of the Ancient One is law.

Ancient One is the only Undead Capable of creating new Undead.

All Undead bow before the Ancient One and address him as Master.

The Ancient One is a deity form and is to be protected by the Undead at all times. Guardian grows very angry with his chyldren if the Ancient One is shattered


Twilight Legion Lore is heavily influenced by two neighboring evil role playing guilds from 1997 on the Catskills shard; Orc (Shadowclan Orcs) and Und/UD (The Undead), as well as their trammel branch U-D (Undead: Minions of the Well) and the 2001 Europa offshoot, UD.

The guilds have fallen into inactivity due to changing times, the diminishing UO population, and the stigma of the Felucca facet, but if you're interested you can visit the IGM decorated landmarks yourself on Catskills sometime.

   Orcish Language
These wordlists are here for any orc player who wants to be completely incomprehesible to the common Britannian. It is a bonus and sign of high standing to know the black speech. Most orcs don't need to learn the language very well - but it is a must for the Uruk Hai. If you have ambitions to make an Uruk Hai character in the future, this wordlist is essential for you to know as well as possible.
The black speech is a language spoken by certain Uruk Hai in the old world. The Uruk Hai started to enforce it for even the lesser orcs when they established their power in the new world. It is full of hard harsh words that originate from deep down the throat. Not many Orcs speak the black speech fluently, and they generally speak Broken britannian with more or less black speech words in it, Only the oldest of the orcs speak it fairly well.

Black Speech has been used since the beginning of CoY and Tolagâl, and Sebered Headz had the same language as Shadowclan and Bloodclan and i think they were formed before CoY (they were ERPA). Might not be the oldest orc language, but Shadowclan language just strikes me as badly spoken English, with some slang.
