Minoc
Map Of Minoc Minoc, being a huge provider of Ore, a Lumber among with its many tinkers inventing new gadgetry all the time, It is always a prime location for either loyalist or rebel forces to want to hold.
Currently, it is a
Loyalist settlement, and the Guardsmen Militia Of Yew, 'Officially' let it go to the hands of its own Militia for protection not too long ago.
With Vesper always on the look for new land, as it was clear from their attempts for Covianshire land, this withdrawal would only welcome a threat to Minoc's relative peace.
I thought one of the best places t'see if they are being equipped adequately and a way to perhaps gauge their size would be t'head to the local armoury. I spoke t' the local blacksmithy lass, an' she informed me that orders had been steady, and increasing slowly.
I then headed t'the local Inn, the 'Barnacle' t'see if there were any Militia men about, and by luck it looked like the' whole militia was there. I asked then how things were in Minoc, and they informed me that not too long ago, Vesper had arrived in Minoc, with lies sayin' that the citizens of Minoc needed t'be freed from t'clutches of Loyalist forces, and use this guise t'attack the Minocian Militia!
Twice they tried t'defeat the Minocian Militia, and twice they failed, I was even provided w'sketches of the battle. It was indeed a bloody affair, but if Vesper couldn't take it with their full might, which way would they push next? I was also informed, that this many Militia available at this time was fairly unusual, usually there's a much smaller force in place, bu' the ranks swelled with t'locals who wanted t'help defend.
~ What are their numbers? Apaprently, from anythin between 0 t' 15 at any time.
~ How well are they equipped? They are being equipped fairly well, with the City being fairly self-sufficient.
~ What are their weaknesses? They would not be able to defend a surprise attack it seems, They need to have intelligence t'organise their men before they can defend.
~ Could they hold against a Vesperian assault? Its not longer of a question of -could-. They have, so it shows they can.
Conclusion:Overall, the City seems to be preparing itself for defence rapidly, since they know what's happening in the Shire, and they watched over the whole Civil War, the militia is aware of Escaflowne's unrest. They succeeded in defending this one time, but it is unknown whether Vesper will try again.
Note:
Strangely enough, I returned a day later, and could not spot a militia man anywhere, the town seemed defenceless at that point.Raven
