Sunday eve saw the 3rd Company Championship once again hosted by Commander Morana.
The field of combatants willing to battle it out for the honour of being called Company Champion was strong with the likes of Veteran Mercenary Tiberius Kane raring to get down to business.
With uneven numbers and the Commander unwilling to give anyone a free ride through the tournament each warrior would battle the rest with the four best warriors progressing to the semi finals. The pre-tournament favourites, Hoagie, Raiden and Tiberius all started strongly, however it seemed that the four victories on the trot was a little too tiring for that old dog Tiberius as he nodded off and forfeited his final two bouts, also missing out on the semi finals.
The semi finals saw Adrastea Martin take on Captain Hoagie whilst the Commander would do battle against Mercenary Recruit Valkur. Could the two recruits prevent a third consecutive Hoagie vs. Raiden final... The answer was of course... No. The Captain and Commander progressed to the three round final whilst Adrastea overcame Valkur to finish 3rd.
The previous finals and indeed qualifying bouts between Raiden and Hoagie have seasawed one way then the next. The Captain won the qualifying round contest and took a 1-0 lead in the final. It looked odds on that Hoagie would retain his title as Company Champion but the Commander fought bravely to level the match at 1-1 before going on to complete his come from behind victory with some style to claim his second championship victory.
