Railen awoke early, as usual, to check the Goblin and make certain things were running smoothly. Kiran had spoken with her the evening before about the Goblin now making a small profit. Business had gone very well this month, and with the additional staff to serve, more and more people were coming in for a beverage, and for a meal. She reviewed the Ledgers Kiran had left behind. In addition, she placed a ledger for keeping track of guests staying at the Inn.
The staff too was initiating ideas of their own. Some, admittedly had to be toned down just a little bit, to accommodate the morals of the more conservative members of the community, but they were over all ideas which were lighthearted fun. The town needed to keep up Morale during this war, and the Goblin staff were just the folks to help.
She checked through the stock of food and supplies that would be needed for the week. Everything was in order. Today she would not need to go to the farmers market in town to pick up the goods they needed. Between her morning shopping at local markets, and Kiran's trades, supplies were running well.
Rai then began packing a basket of cheeze, warm bread, meat pie and fruit. She had noticed, even Awl scrunched his nose before reluctantly eating her cooking. Soon, this would be remedied. She would take cooking lessons from the staff. Dropping the coins made from an early customer in to the Strong box, she went home, to feed her husband and the dog, bringing home breakfast from the Goblin.
