Another old Poem I wrote while in Boot Camp. This one is extremly personal to me. Its about how suicide, and the attempt can haunt you even years later when you ask yourself "What was I thinking?" I've removed the next verse and lost the last two. They arn't really needed for this poem though.

".22"
Climbing up off my knees.
Where I was knocked by this desease.
Suddenly it all grows darker as my vision fades.
Sight begins to narrow as all my friends turn into shades.
Creatures from the depths they follow close behind my steps.
Yet I walk these streets alone followed by my shadow.
I turn and look at him, holding that revovler to his head and I think back.

Why oh why in Hell would you load six rounds when only one would do?
Strangest thing I ever thought I'd do.
Sitting in my parents room, starring down the barrel of a .22.

Oh my shadow constantly haunting me.
A demon sent to ride my back.
Deadly fangs latched to my neck.
Poison coursing in my veins.
Better had I never done the deed.

Why oh why in Hell would you load six rounds when only one would do?
Strangest thing I ever thought I'd do.
Sitting in my parent's rooms, starring down the barrel of a .22.
