As for the topic itself, only bit of advice I'd offer beyond cultural sensitivity is being careful who you "recruit" if you're going to do a whole band of these. The flaw with branding it around the public forum is unfortunately you're in a dificult position of perhaps ending up with a bunch of interest you didn't want.
Because what often happens when you end up getting a big band of "themed" characters together is that often it turns into slapstic or farsical roleplay quite quickly. The idea has a lot of potential to it if you take it seriously -
especially if you make yourself Altmerian, with a lot of the growing friction in the area - but if you push too hard and get too lapse you'll end up with five or six Och Aye-ing Charlie Chaplains running around just emoting drinking beer and hitting everyone.
