Apprentice Tasks: Larinya Angalae

Greetings, my new apprentice.

I am aware your duties happen to usually take place in earlier hours of the day, which is suitable to my duty times as well.

Here is your first task, which should be convenient for you as you can complete it yourself.

The Task

You shall travel to many different dangerous locations, collecting gold pieces from each beast. Twenty thousand gold pieces shall be gathered in total by the end of this task. Here is a list of beasts you shall slay:

*Harpies
*Orcs
*Undead
*Brigands

Requirements:

*On this mission, you must collect a total of twenty thousand gold pieces from different kinds of monsters you come across.
*You do not have to complete this mission alone, but you may.
*Full reports of your findings must be posted below.

Apprentice Task

Greetings ma'am.  Upon receiving your instructions, I've made an assessment of the task to see how to best accomplish it.  Admitting that there is much I need to work as far as my combat skills go, I have gathered guardsmen to accompany me in this assignment.  Fortunately, Ma'am Rita and Ruby were around. 

I have assembled them by the barracks to convey the instruction in collecting 20,000 gold pieces from the said beasts.  Without further ado we proceeded to the orc fort, as they are most proximate to our location.

There were very few orcs that entertained us upon our entry, which was a disappointment.  We decided to finish the round earlier than scheduled and channel our frustration to the other beasts.  However it did seem the orcs were beginning to be smarter than we earlier imagined.  They ambushed us at the exit, bringing with them their mightiest orc lords.  Admittedly, it took us back for a few, but crushed them just the same.  Here, I've learned that the strongest blows do not immediately lead to victory, but more importantly, team support especially through cross-healing.

We proceeded to the graveyard, which was another disappointment.  Someone got to the place first and seemed to have drugged all undead creatures so that they would look all green.  I did not understand the logic.  We managed to slay a few skeletons and zombies, but nothing more challenging.  Seeing it is futile, we moved along.

Then onwards Covetous, to slay harpies.  Again, we were out of luck as someone got to us first.  Funnily, he claimed that he needed the feathers, only to find out that he did not know how to pluck them. 

With much frustration, we decided to proceed no more and head to the harpies nest in Ilshenar where we got what we wanted. 

Finally, we patrolled for brigands in Altmere.  It seemed to be a really quiet day, until we stumbled upon this group holding a lady hostage.  We put an end to their wicked ways.  The noble wished to be escorted to Cove and so we obliged her.

In total, we were able to collect a most impressive sum of 30,800 gold.  Since it was 10,800 more than our target, I asked Ma'am Rita and Ruby if they wished to have their share of 5,400 gold each.  They were both decided to deposit all golds to the coffers, on the condition of free lunch, which I was certainly glad to give them.  They both deserved a feast.
