The Church is not simply the members of its clergy, but the people who fall under its blanket of protection as well; the congregation. Characters born in Cove, or joining the Baronship of Cove will likely be baptised on arrival, or claim to have been already been baptised at birth. Characters from other guilds who wish to join in the spirit of the Church element without leaving their current guilds are very welcome, and are encouraged, to do so. This will allow players to enjoy a more diverse role-playing experience involving events such as mass, religiously motivated hunts; and occasionally crusades.

From time to time, towns or entire regions may be identified that have fallen to heresy, and the Templi Chapter and local soldiers march to such places whilst they attempt to convert and baptise the heathens, welcoming them to Avatar’s family. Those who do not come of their own accord are dragged by force, and those who attempt to flee are run down and slaughtered.
Certain races of Guardian spawn are eligible for redemption through baptism; those who understand they are merely a tool of Guardian’s plan and do not wish to be a part of it. Elves and drow, most commonly can seek baptism and become part of the family as any other chyld, though they will still looked down upon as second-class citizens. Most races however cannot be converted; lizard men, rat men, orcs and undead etc. They are mindless and depraved, incapable of civility, and as such must be hunted down immediately on sight like the murderous beasts they are.

All residents of Cove must be baptized, if you have not been baptized by a member of the clergy then you should consult the church immediately or leave a note below.

Dear Inquisitor,

Should this count towards our Guardsman Duties?

"The Covian Beau Séant is half black and half white, for that is the character of a Templar. Our wholly white tabards represent fairness towards Avatarians, whilst our leaded black capes show we are dark and terrible towards heretics." —Fr. Clement Vortimer
