Beating the Samurai

After hearing reports of several attacks on some civilians around
the Cove area by Samurai, i set it upon myself to investigate the
island of Tokuno.

Upon stepping through the moongate i was attacked almost
instantly from the shadows by multiple enemies, i managed to
scramble back through the moongate and get back to Cove, i
needed reinforcements !

I set off a few pigeons to get some other Guards attention and
two returned, Senior Guardsman Hrothgar and Junior Guardsman
Ahmed came to aid me and we then all set off to the moongate.

We entered the moongate and we were at Tokuno again, this time
no-one et upon us until we made it through some forest and were
lept upon by a stealthy ninja.

A shadow walker surprises the group

After defeating the stealther we head on through the woodland,
several other samurai and stealthers attacked us but were pushed
back, we managed to fight them off long enough to reach our target,
the Training grounds !

The Group enter the enemy structure

We continued on into the training grounds, many samurai were sparring
with eachother, battling with what seemed ever lasting stamina and
strength and when we aproached them they turned their weapons
toward us.

We were instantly surrounded and out numbered, but that didnt stop us,
we continued to hold formation and fight off the attackers but there
seemed to be a never ending supply of men to attack us and in the end
we were forced to fall back, the formation moved around thw room
searching for exits until we eventually found one.

The group hold formation as they head toward the exit

More and more Samurai charged us, the three us us back to back fighting
off the attackers, ad one moment i thought my days were over as i let me
guard down and a samurai lept at me with a halberd swung at me head,
i closed my eyes expecting death but the scream of death did not come
from me, but from the samurai attacking me, i opened my eyes to see
Hrothgar standing over the corpse with his sword through the now twitching
Samurai corpse.

I pulled myself together and we moved out of the imediate area, not many left
now i remember thinking as the attackers line grew thinner and thinner but as
we retreated they sent their last men at us, we ran only to me met with a
mountain side, we were trapped !

We were forced to fight them but were severely out numbered "Scatter!" i yelled
as we broke off and ran in seperate directions breaking up the Samurai formation,
we fought for what seemed like hours with these Samurai until eventually we
were victorious, with a final blow to a Ninja's heart from Ahmed's kryss, he
nodded his platemail helm in my direction, it was over.

The Group are Victorious

We cheered for victory and headed off home with a large bag full of gold, the Covians had won again !
