It was a hotly contested race for the newly created post of Governor of Cove, with
traitor Jassi Cowan, orphaned child Billy Boots, and Liambryn the Hound all standing against the most gracious Baron Octiovus for the role. Despite Vesperian trickery which included disallowing steeds from voting half way through proceedings, Baron Octiovus was resoundingly elected Governor of Cove, defeating his closest opponent, the Hound, 24 votes to 9.
Despite some initial confusion, Baron Octiovus is now enobled in Vesper as well as Cove, and will sit on the Grand Council meetings, most urgently dealing with the Corgul menace. The Vesperian Arena is to be dismantled and the plot returned to rightful Covian hands - the barracks shall rise again! Long may unity in the North reign, and long live Cove!
