I have had no previous training and very little experience when it comes to dealing with injuries (except when dealing with minor injuries, in the case of myself and my daughter, Anais). I wanted to help, to be of some use. I was not prepared and neither did I know what to expect. If it had not been for the nujel'm healer and Joelle's guidance, I know not how we would have fared. We had no choice but to 'get stuck in' so to speak.
Standing before us the guardsmen stood proud, with that familiar look in their eyes. It brought back the memory of a song I had written, of how brave our Guardsmen and women can be.
Blood and vomit was soon to be the order of the day! It was far from pretty (and I like pretty). Under the instructions of the healer and Joelle, Aureline and myself found ourselves dealing with all sorts of injuries, some more unusual than others! Anything from poisoning to arrows stuck in the ****. Our losses were few and the ultimate glory was ours that day.--------------------------------------------------
The healer, Aureline and myself, were better prepared for the next Battle. During the battle we only had two casualties!"ah should get hurt more often" a guardsman's response to our treatment!
