As is tradition by now, I called the men on Saturday afternoon on duty. I should have stayed in bed today though, as it turned out, it is
not my day...
Granted, it wasn't all my fault! Palmer and McStan had their fun interrupting me while they stood in line and didn't stop until I threatened their buttocks with arrows. Unfortunate for me, we there was no one of them fancy Arcanists awake yet and we had to walk. A decision I regret later...
We moved from Britain over the mountains to the west, passed the raider fort and eventually arrived at an orc fort, where we bashed some smelly feckers.
This is where things went south... I lost my whole orientation and led them way too far north-west... I don't remember how, but sooner or later, with sheer luck, we arrived at the destination only to be assaulted by orcs outside.
As we entered the mines, we were surprised to meet Regular Raven who apparently goes there sometimes to let off steam. Lucky for me, I had a person more at my disposal and I instructed them all on what kind of Yeast we were looking for. We only needed the best quality and threw away the trash ones!
Yet again, McStan and Palmer made my life complicated by running ahead
constantly! Their excuse? "We have swords!"
I mean, I have no issues when they smash the enemy but stay in my sight! But running around corners and doing their own thing does not only endanger them, but also us ranged fighters. Sergeant Sanderson shouted at them to keep them in check and we continued our slaughter through the mines.
As we left the mines again, we had well over fifteen Yeasts and Sergeant Sanderson later brought me even more, now all nicely packed for the Cardinal Feather to use.
However, before we went home, I got lost two more times... First time, I took a large detour through the Lich Forest and forgot where Stonekeep was, and from there, I somehow ran passed the moongate... Truly a black day for a Scout...
Arriving at the barracks, everyone collected their share of 4.200 gold coins and we also added a decent sum of ore. I lectured them a bit about sticking with the group, and while Palmer seemed to understand my concerns, McStan is a lost case...
