Name: Claudia Telfair Age: 26 Height: 6' Weight: 150
General Description: This lass hails from Minoc, and she looks it. Her leggy, wide shouldered build still has subtle curves, but her face is square. Claudi's eyes are her most redeeming feature, a sharp brandy brown, with thick lashes. It would seem she's sustained some injury in the past, or else she was born with a limp. She obviously favors her left leg and there is some thing not right about the shape of that knee.
History: Claudia was the first born in the Telfair family. It's not so bad if the eldest is a girl, nor is it entirely uncommon to let a daughter learn a bit of the trade before she's married off. However as the years wore on and no sons followed Claudi's birth her father had more or less formerly taken her as his apprentice. Being minoc stock she was hearty and tall. Even as a woman she was tougher than most men else where in the realm, though defiantly smaller than the massive muscle bound miners she worked with.
When Claudi was nearing twenty four years of age, cruel fates willed that this woman's physical form fit her name, and it nearly cost her her life. She had been working in the mines when a cave in occurred, Claudia was one of those injured and trapped under the rubble. The pale haired woman was one of the few who the rescuers managed to search out. When they found her they were not sure she was even alive she was so badly injured.
Right after the cave in, no one thought she would live, or if she did, that her mind would be addled from the beating her head had taken. As time wore on the prognosis was changed to her never walking again, as her left knee had been crushed and the joint healed wrong. Now, nearly two years later Claudia can walk with out pain, but she still has, and probably always will, a heavy limp. Adding insult to injury she discovered her father had taken one of the village boys in as his apprentice while she was still tossing with a fever in the healers halls.
Fortunately Claudi had put her confinement to good use and learned her mothers craft of tailoring while she was stuck in bead for the better part of six months.
Grating at the sight of some one else doing the work that she'd always assumed would be her own at her father's forge, Claudi decided to leave Minoc and seek work else where. Her only companion a dappled gelding named Domingo.
