After a patrol of the Covian graveyard the Guardsmen were ordered to the Barracks where a Hunt was organised by Sergeant Ahmed al Maktoum.  T'was decided to teach the heathen Ronin of Tokanu to fear Covian steel and the strike force made a forced march to the Minoc moongate.

We were attacked by a strange creature almost immediately after exiting the moongate and a Guardsman was temporarily knocked uncon    unconshes    unconsoos    out.  Once he was revived we headed north-east, taking the Ronin sentries by surprise.

Our goal in front, our resolve hardened, we entered the Ronin compound and prepared for battle...

It wasn't long before we encountered the heathen dogs and battle was joined.  Resistance was stronger than anticipated and despite a heroic defence we were eventually overrun.   Watchman Jenifer Feather vanished at this point, possibly too wounded to return to battle.  It can only be hoped she managed to safely return to Britannia.

After a running battle the remaining cons    conshooss   upright Guardsmen revived those of us knocked down and we turned the tide, seizing the main hall for the glory of Cove.  Ronin reinforcements futiley attempted to retake their hall but were beaten back.

After it was clear we had achieved victory Sergeant Maktoum ordered us back to the moongate and we fought a slow rearguard action out of the hall before making a forced march to the moongate.  Junior Guardsman Garand disappeared at this point...

But he had only gotten lost and eventually reached the moongate.  We walked through the moongate and returned to the Barracks.

Fine report Roland, although Kiran is right, the pictures could be a wee bit bigger.

We gave them yellow 'uns a good kickin' even though we was greatly outnumbered.

It was a fine hunt.
