Raised by his mother and father, a wealthy couple who dwell in the capital, Henrich Beaufort had a good childhood, receiving a fine education and luxuries few other families were lucky enough to have; but his parents are not of noble blood – his father had worked hard for everything they have.
After studying reading, literature, mathematics, finance and history for several years, Henrich – eighteen at the time, and having been interested in warfare from an early age – decided to end his tuition and train in swordsmanship
His father saw to the matter. Henrich was soon the apprentice of a middle-aged, respected swordsman, renowned in Britain for his services to King and Country, having coordinated a small troop during numerous defences of city.
Five years had past. Henrich’s mentor had an illness, and could see there was nothing more Henrich could learn from him. Henrich pondered over enlisting in the Militia of Cove, with tales of the Baronship still fresh in his mind; because of his mother’s disapproval, his father acted quickly to get Henrich into Accounting. In little under a year, Henrich’s mentor of five years did indeed pass away.

Henrich stood by his bedroom window, running his finger down the blade of his mentor’s sword, and over the engraved letters: “Evinco”. He glanced out to the sea, wondering what it was like beyond all he had ever known, yearning the excitement and adventure it may hold. Henrich knew it was to be his fate. He would leave Britain, his family, his home, his friends, and travel north to the ever-growing town of Cove, despite his mother’s protests.
Henrich was gone…
