Leading
Hoagie, Dragoon Sergeant

Attending
Ulric Darkmoor, Guardsman Recruit

After showing one of the newest recruits around, I lead him up to the Altmere outpost to explain its importance, and clear it of any dangers. For the first time in Avatar knows how long, not a single hostile soul was encountered upon the journey.

..I lead Recruit Scarr to the Graveyard, and we took down the big old bastard that lives there, other wise known as the lich. We then cleared it out, and layed some fresh flowers at the grave...

..I also lead Recruit Scarr to Altmere, and then onto the crossroads abit further up, we encountered several ogres, a few brigands,a giant spider, some pesky rats and snakes, but not much more. The roads were safe, and clear, all was well...

Patrol of the Shire

Raiden, Grenadier Sergeant (led)
Malakai, Guardsman Recruit

We patrolled through the Shire, I showed the new recruit various points of interest. We came across a few nasty beasties including a gargoyle that talked like Sergeant Hoagie.

We gave them all a good kicking!

Patrol of Altmere

Led by Belorion, Guardsman recruit
Guardsman in attendance:
*Thomas Scarr, recruit

We encountered two trolls in the city and a band of brigands by the crossroads near the fort. Thomas Scarr showed exceptional bravery in the battle with the brigands, and we made short work of them.

Patrol of the orc fort - 15pm GMT, Saturday 20/10/07
Securing the orc population at a minimum level.
Led by Belorion, Guardsman recruit
* Thomas Scarr, Guardsman recruit

We headed out to the Orc fort to check on the population and make sure there where no orcs heading towards Cove.
The orcs had increased there numbers and gave us considerable resistance.

We managed to kill a few orcs and stay alive, thanks to your good teamwork, before we had to leave due to the large swarm of orcs heading our way.

Berlorion, Guardsman recruit.

Everyday Patrolling:
Leading: Dalamar, Regular Scout
Attending:Raiden Morana, Grenadier Captain
                  Bardicous, Guardsman Recruit

I led these two to patrolling our boarders. First we visited Northern boarder and I made sure both of them know now where it is. Then I asked series of questions before we headed to Cemetery to clean it up. In the end succsesfull patrol and Hoagie can now sleep well with his bug belly.

Attending: Tony Clayton, Guardsman Recruit

I took him on a patrol around Cove, the only thing we came across was a headless and a man in a mask with an axe (which turned out to be Kyte).

Leading: JT - Jon Trent, Watchman.

Attended by: Tamara, Guardsman Recruit.

I came across recruit Tamara as I was wandering the forests by the northern crossroads, so we decided to head southwards on patrol to ensure that the roads were kept open for travellers.

We came across trolls, ogres and harpies. All of whom fell to my axe or Tamara's arrows.

We arrived at the Altmere Outpost. A harpy and yet more trolls were prowling nearby, so we put them down.

All was well inside the Altmere. No signs of disturbance and from the rooftop we peered into the Shire and could see nothing amiss, though we decided that we should patrol it just to be sure.

We headed down the road for a while from the Altmere Outpost then decided to cut through the Shire. Nothing much to report apart from yet another troll wandering about.

All seemed quit as we headed through the streets and alleyways to the barracks where our patrol ended.

Patrol of Cove Town, Baronship Household and Shire.

Attended by:

Raiden, Grenadier Captain (leading)
Kelly Sanderson, Corporal (called away)
Hoagie, Dragoon Sergeant
Darath Mithar, Officer Cadet
Celuvian Haap, Watchman
Larissa, Guardsman Recruit

Corporal Sanderson informed us that she'd bumped into a couple of Besiegers snooping around the Baronship Household looking for a renegade. While the Besiegers went off in search of reinforcements we rallied at the barracks and headed into Cove Town.

As we searched the town Corporal Sanderson was called away so I assumed command and we were soon joined by Officer Cadet Mithar and Guardsman Recruit Larissa. I led the patrol back to the Household where we searched the Tavern and Town Hall etc. for the Yewish fugitive.

With no sign of him we then patrolled the Shire as far as the ancient ruins. Again no sign of the renegade or any returning militiamen from Yew. With the rain getting heavier and Hoagie and Darath's grumbling about it getting louder we returned to the barracks where I dismissed the men.

Actions of note:

Darath set about culling the local bear population claiming that it was indeed bear season. I just reckon he was after a new rug and cape.

Hoagie pondered the merits of a saddle design to enable ettins to be rode into battle.
