It has happend, CoY is giving up! Well we all knew this was comming but ahh, it makes me so sad! I dont know how many people still have a CoY board account, so that is why i shall post what is being written below. I am posting this as i know that we have many excoy players in the guild. All read and cry!
Originally writen by Nicholas the Elder: As a low fantasy roleplaying community, we've played host to some of the best roleplayers, fighters, and guilds in all of UO since CoY's conception half a decade ago. Now, after all these years, it's time to call things to close. CoY is a community with a specific ideal, and if there isn't room for those ideals anymore, then it's time to end it.
Throughout the years CoY has seen many changes to UO, and under the guidance of some great Leaders, weathered them all, but great things can't last forever. I think it's safe to say that every member of CoY has enjoyed some wonderful times, and for that reason I can sit here and smile, safe in the knowledge that all the work put in by those before me, and those around me now was worth it. We've had our bad times, some would say none worse than what things have gotten to now, but above all remember that to dislike things as they are now, only means that you have enjoyed things as they were before.
Having tried to prolong this post and explain things a little further, I've found theres little point in it, because in the end it all comes down to saying one thing.
Thank you.
Thank you to the members past and present. Thank you to all the leaders over our many years. And thank you to my predecessors, Calin, Reed, and Rob.
I wish everyone the best of luck for the future, and hope that the guilds will live on.
