Joey's Games IIAfter the battle with the loyalists, the wounded returned to the northside inn, morale was crushed, there was only one thing to do, start Joey's games!
At first everyone was confused, damned youngins, hardly any knew what the Joey games were, but after explaining the rules, all seemed interested.
How it worksIt's pretty simple, partakers and made into 3 or 4 teams, all different colours. Each team must partake in the 5 different rounds, each round earns you so many points for winning being a runner up, rounds 4 and 5 you get the chance to steal points from the other teams.
The teams were set upand Round 1 began, the Dye tub haul!
The Dye Tub HaulIn the dye tub haul, teams must carry the dye tub from their starting possition, into the alcove, then return to their starting point, once each team member had run a certain ammount of times, they finish, the team to finish first earns 2 points, the team that comes second earns 1 point.
This game is run 3 times, with a total of 6 points up for grabs if you win all 3 games.
After this was finished, we moved onto Round 2
The Scavenger HuntOn the scavenger hunt, teams were instructed to head to the graveyard and return with specific items, different items earned different scores, though, only 2 sets of each reward can be given out, so if two teams return the same item, the third team cannot claim that same item, and miss out on points, its first come first serve!
The Scavenger items were:
5 Pieces of bone armour = 4 Points
1 Zombie Head = 2 Points
200 Gold coins = 2 Points
Once this round was completed, we moved onto Round 3
RushIn Rush, teams line up on one side of an arena, they're job is to charge through the middle and get to the other side, but there's a catch, they must avoid the man in the middle holding a weapon, because if you get to close, you get hit, when you fall, you join the people in the middle.
Scores were counted as:
Last man standing = 4 Points
One of the last two standing = 2 Points
One of the last three standing = 1 Point
Singles battle - score stealingIn round 4, it was a chance to steal score from the other teams.
Each team would have two challenges, the selected team would step up and choose which of their team would be fighting, and against which other team, then the second team would select a man to defend their score, the losing team of the battle would lose a point, and the winning team would earn a point, regardless of being the challenger or not.
This all seemed simple, but there are added twists to the battles, the challenging team would have to pick a number, and a random Handicap would be selected, a rule which must be used in the duration of the battle, but when the battle is over, the handicap is removed, leaving fewwer and fewer handicaps.
The handicaps for single battle are:
No Armour! - Teams must battle without armour
No Weapons! - Teams must fight bare knuckle with no armour and no healing
No Arcane Arts - Teams must fight without the aid of Arcane Arts (Necromancy, Magery, Chivalryect.)
No Healing! - Teams must fight without healing in any way
Team Switch - The challenging team must select a team other then their first choice
Instant Yield - The challenging team must yield in defeat, suffering a point loss to the other team
Instant Win - The challenging team win the battle automatically
No Single handed weapons - Single handed weapons are not permited during the battle
No Two handed weapons - Two handed weapons are not permited during the battle
No Special moves - Fancy moves are disallowed for the duration of the battle
Team battles - score stealingIn the final round, the same rules are adopted as the singles, except with a few handicap changes, two handicaps are used per battle, and the teams fight together, instead of in singles.
The handicaps for the team battle are:
Weapon shuffle - Teams must swap weapons with the opposing team
No Single handed weapons - Single handed weapons are not permited during the battle
No Two handed weapons - Two handed weapons are not permited during the battle
No Healing team - Team mates may not heal eachother.
No Special moves - Fancy moves are disallowed for the duration of the battle
At the end of the games, each teams scores were:
Team Green - 11
Team Red - 11
Team Blue - 9
With the tied score at the end, the final was decided by a race to the smith and back! Lucky for team Green, Olchafa was fast enough to win the rave, and steal the final score fromt team.
The winning team earned special weapons and armour for their efforts in the game.
Thank you for attending! hopefully next time we can have more members for an even batter set of games, i hope you all enjoyed yourself.
