Tasks
* Organise a grand Recruitcampaign to find new recruits who'll take yer place as ye move on to the status of Junior.
* You shall lead a grand expedition to Tokuno where you shall attempt to awaken the Dark Serpent!
* A dancing contest will be organised by yourself in the Town Square of Cove

Details

* In your recruitment campaign you shall drop off leaflets every day till you get promoted (If you are unable to do it yourself at every day, have someone replace you)
* The Dark Serpent is a Champion of the Tokuno lands. You shall attempt to awaken him
* At least 8 guardsmen will accompany you on this hunt. Though I advise more.
* You shall organise the decoration of the entire town for the Dancing contest.
* Invitations will be sent out to all non-aggressive guilds to attend
* Food and beverages for the contestants and the spectators will be provided.
* You shall appoint judges who will crown the best male and female dencer of the contest.
* Every task will be accompanied by a report in this thread written yourself!

Round One! (7/6/06)

On round one of the leaflets, Mela accompanied me to prevent complete and utter boredom. She did quite well, actually. She sang for me and talked about Spy Cows, whatever the heck they are!
Quite a boring round, but hopefully people will pick up my leaflets and think about joining the Baronship! Especially after over a week of placing leaflets...
On my leaflet-placing round I collected one hundred spined leather for the army, too!
So yes, I visited eight moongates in round one: Skara Brae, Magincia, Britain, Jhelom, Moonglow, Haven, Minoc and Trinsic.

The Expedition to Tokuno

Led by: Kelly (As requested)

We ended up setting off half an hour late due to people disappearing and turning up, then telling us to wait for minutes, which all added up. But we eventually set off on a forced march to the moongate, and to the Tokuno Islands.
I gave instructions of what to do, but most of the men knew what was coming in this expedition, unlike myself, who had only gone and had a brief look at whereabouts it was with Mela beforehand. Anyway, when we got to Tokuno it was a long walk until we got to the first stage of enemies. However, along the road there were ninjas who jumped out at us every now and again to attack.
We eventually fought our way through the first stage to get to the Dark serpent, which was fairly basic apart from the huge mass of them. This being my first hunt, I was absolutely terrified anyway. So the first stage was down which were the lizardmen. Now was for the second stage, the kappas, which made a terrible noise and dropped poison as and when they wanted to. One big problem was that when Erik lured them, there were more than a few (This wasn't this fault) and we couldn't see each other or fight properly because of the mass and amount of beasts.
We also slayed a fair few Tsusky wolves (Or however you spell that), which towered over us all.  Many of us began to become tired during the huge mass of the kappas and our armor was battered to pieces during the course of the expedition.
So we retreated back to a patch of flowers where we said we'd meet and headed back on the road. I ordered a forced march back to the moongate, but one fell behind and Erik had to go back. We eventually had all our men lined up ready to go back home.



We did not manage to awaken the serpent, and came back with less men than we set out with: But this was only due to their dismissal mid-hunt. We did however manage to gather twenty-thousand gold from all of the creatures we had slain.
I thank all the people who came on my expedition, as it was my first time to lead a hunt, nevermind leading a hunt of that many people. I hope I did alright and it is acceptable to say that I passed my Expedition task, Erik Sir.

Cove Square Dance Contest!

When: 9:30pm, Friday 14th

It started off with four judges, and ended with two. Mela and Erik disappeared after the first couple of dances, and only reappeared at the end, before I announced the winners! First up was Vince, who did extremely well (Even though the men didn't like the half-naked thing goin' on) with his fancy moves.
After him, the list went as follows:



There was one girl who got no points, as you can see from the torn pages out of my book. She kind of.. Walked on the stage, shuffled her feet extremely unenthusiastically and walked away. Not a very interesting contestant! Vlad did quite well, apart from that hurrendous clothing he had on.. Bright gold, yellow and orange. And then.. Then there was the church man. He did quite a good dance for someone knocking on in years. Personally I think he should have got more points!



The church man was the last contestant.. And just as I announced the winners... Erik and Mela came back into the dancing square!



They had a little announcement of their own! That they are to be married! That brightened the mood for definate and after they had been dived on, I announced the winners and that was about.. It! A good evening overall, despite people appearing, disappearing and re-appearing.

1st place: Vince Valentine
2nd place: Garak Nightchill

Since no female dancers but myself wanted to dance (Apart from Melody, who didn't even really.. Dance), the judges were only able to give a first and second prize to those men who did dance! And well done to them and their guts!
And well done to Tibby for playing the lute so.. Well!

Round Nine - All the Trammel moongates again!

Disturbed getting through Minoc moongate by the orphidians, but I got around them eventually.
This round was yet again done on my own, seeing as the orphidian kept knockin' Vince every time he tried to come help.



Recruits had better be piling in after all these banners! One more round to go!
