First to Fight, Last to Fall

"The group pushed forwards, the Covian Army held tight in a solid formation. Attacks were deflected left and right, nothing could penetrate the defence. Suddenly a mass of enemy troops came charging at the formation, dropping the men one at a time. Their tactic was clear, it was time for the Dragoons to strike.

'Dragoons! Attack formation!' yelled the grizzled leader of the squad. Within moments the Dragoons had paired off with their designated partners, staying within a close distance of the other guardsmen behind them. They lead the assault now. 'Dragoons, Acquire Targets!', yelled the squad leader again. 'Target acquired sir!' the men yelled back. Then came the assault, the enemy troops tried once again to rush the formation. The men stood firm holding their shields out, but before the enemy troops could get near, the Dragoons were already at their backs. Each of the men had been specifically targeted by a dragoon team, and before long there were no assault troops left standing. The dragoons roared with laughter, and an order was yelled from the main Guardsmen formation. 'Dragoons, CHARGE!'. 'Ye heard him men, CHAARGE!', the squad leader yelled, the Dragoons screaming as they charged ahead of the standard blockade to engage the enemy..."
